Fraternity brothers team up to help honor their brother that passed away just a few days ago.
On the morning of April 29, 2017, U.S. Army 1LT Weston Lee was killed in action in Mosul, Iraq. Weston was serving as a platoon leader in the 82nd Airborne Division’s Second Brigade Combat Team. He died from wounds sustained from the detonation of an improvised explosive device.
Weston Lee was a 2014 Graduate from the University of North Georgia, and an Alumni of the Georgia Delta chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Weston was loved by many, students and soldiers alike, for his lovable personality and loyalty to his friends. Weston left behind a legacy characterized by duty, sacrifice and selfless service. He was larger than life!
Weston’s brothers, determined not to let his sacrifice go in vain, have started a campaign to raise money to establish a memorial scholarship in Weston’s name. This scholarship is intended to reward young men and women who wish to live Weston’s legacy of dedication and service. Once the goal for the scholarship has been reached, all extra funds will go directly to Weston’s family to help with costs and expenses. Anything helps, no matter how little.
